The Sacmi Group recently announced that its 15-year partnership with South African company The BETTA Group continues. The level of technology and automation in the company’s sanitaryware operations continues to evolve. Last May, final testing of a new Gaiotto-built glazing line was complete. The new line reportedly highlights how the partnership reflects the importance of carrying out production in as eco-friendly and clean a way as possible. In this particular case, the new glazing line includes a dry spray glazing booth featuring HEPA filters.

Delivered in April, the new line was already fully operative by mid-May, reportedly yielding excellent results in terms of reduced glaze consumption and overall energy consumption. Another key aspect is the drastically reduced consumption of water, reportedly now limited to just the cleaning of the piece-carrying turntables.
