Inside CI: Holiday Time

The seventh annual Services Directory aims to help you find companies that can help you not only during hectic times like these, but all year long.

December 2, 2013

This time of year can be especially hectic. Between decorating, entertaining, gift buying (and wrapping!), and actually celebrating the holidays, it seems like there are never quite enough hours in the day. Not to mention work—with end-of-the-year reports due, budgets at their end and colleagues often out of the office. I’m getting exhausted just thinking about it all!

The seventh annual Services Directory aims to help you find companies* that can help you not only during hectic times like these, but all year long. From business consultants and testing labs to toll processors and equipment resellers, these companies strive to help ceramic manufacturers succeed. Not only can service providers help improve quality and reduce costs, they can often actually take on some of the workload and enable manufacturers to work more efficiently and effectively.

The Services Directory Address Index includes complete supplier contact information and a brief description of the services offered by each company. Each service provider’s areas of expertise are also specified in the accompanying chart-style listings.

In addition, we’re focusing on advanced ceramics in this issue, with articles detailing the use of clamshell furnaces for an innovative fuel cell project (see “Digging Deep”) and the design of ceramic materials at the nano-level (read “Nanostructured Ceramics”), among others. Take a look at the full Table of Contents to see what else we have in store for you.

As we say goodbye to 2013 and look forward to 2014, all of us at Ceramic Industry remain committed to providing you with high-quality information to help you succeed. If you’d like to share any comments or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to contact me at (330) 336-4098 or Best wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season!
