Abresist Corp.'s KALMETALL(R)-TC (tungsten carbide), which withstands the severe impact and abrasion that prematurely wears out other products, has outlasted alumina ceramic by as much as five times in actual practice. This lining works well in processing machinery components and in pipes and elbows for pneumatic and gravity piping systems. KALMETALL-TC is also appropriate for use in mixing equipment and fan blades handling coal, ore and other abrasive granular products such as sand, coke and ferro-silica. KALMETALL-TC is a tungsten carbide alloy utilizing the chemically bonded elements of tungsten and carbon. The hard grains of tungsten carbide are combined through a sintering process into tiles and shapes.
