Acme Packing Corp. recently announced that it has exited Chapter 11 and will retain its name. The company indicates that it will emerge from Chapter 11 stronger than ever, with the financial backing of a $30 million line of credit from CIT. Acme Packaging was included in the Chapter 11 filing of its parent company, Acme Metals, Inc., in September 1998. Acme Packaging manufactures and sells steel and plastic strapping, along with strapping tools, machines and systems for packaging and shipping. The company reported sales of $121 million in fiscal 2001.
