Afga NDT Offers Full Range of NDT Solutions

A new company, Agfa NDT Inc., was recently formed to offer a full range of non-destructive testing (NDT) solutions. The Agfa-Gevaert Group of Belgium embarked on an aggressive program several years ago to become the leading supplier of NDT systems. This led to the acquisition of companies that were leaders in their respective NDT fields to complement Agfa's existing STRUCTURIX film systems brand. These companies and their technologies included: RADView, digital radiography; Krautkramer Inc., industrial ultrasound and eddy current; and Pantak Inc. & Rich. Seifert & Co., industrial X-ray systems. These companies represented three major technologies in NDT and have been integrated in North America as Agfa NDT Inc. "Individually, these companies had the distinction of being leaders in their respective fields," said Brian Meader, president and CEO. "We intend to continue with the strong brand identity enjoyed by each, as well as the support teams dedicated to the individual products. Now, however, we can offer customers a new solutions synergy, a new umbrella of support and a new opportunity to take advantage of our combined expertise in the NDT arena."
