With a commitment to further expand the scope of outsourcing options available to semiconductor manufacturing customers, Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. and Quantum Global Technologies, L.L.C. (QuantumClean) have joined forces to provide semiconductor tool parts cleaning services to the global industry. Last month, Air Products took an equity stake in QuantumClean, enabling QuantumClean to move forward with its plans to establish multiple new regional semiconductor advanced technology cleaning centers (ATCCs) in the U.S. The facilities, which are all slated to start up within the next 12 months, will be sited near key semiconductor manufacturing regional hubs where Air Products supplies electronic gases and chemicals to local customers and/or has established full-scope technical support centers to provide its MEGASYS(R) on-site gas and chemical management services.
