Subrata Saha, Ph.D., professor of biomedical materials engineering science (BMES) in the School of Engineering at Alfred University (AU), was recently elected president of the Society for Physical Regulation in Biology and Medicine (SPRBM). He has served as president-elect of the society for the past two years and joined the AU School of Engineering faculty in 2001. The SPRBM was formed in 1980 in response to increasing interest in the bioelectrical properties of cells and tissues, as well as the role of bioelectrical interactions in growth, repair and adaptation.
