Allied Mineral Products, Inc. has announced the promotion of John L. Turner to president and chief operating officer. He will manage most of the day-to-day activities of Allied and its affiliated companies. This will be accomplished through restructured management teams and existing management groups. Turner will also assume certain management duties previously held by Jon K. Tabor, who will retain the position of chairman of the board and chief executive officer. Tabor will concentrate on the company's fiscal management, corporate strategy and growth opportunities.
