Allied Mineral: Low-Cement Castables

Allied Mineral Products, Inc.'s new TUFFCRETE family of refractory products is a series of low-cement castables that is specifically designed to be installed by shotcreting, but is also fully capable of being pumped, vibration-cast or self-leveled behind forms. The initial focus for sales has been the industrial market with emphasis on the wood product boiler, cement kiln, incineration and power industries. However, the ease of installation, combined with the low cement level, low porosity, high strength and good abrasion resistance, makes these products good candidates for a wide variety of applications beyond this industrial market.
