Almatis ACC Limited, a joint venture between Almatis GmbH and Associated Cement Companies Limited India (ACC), recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of its Falta, India, operations. Almatis CEO Oscar Groomes, attending celebratory festivities in Calcutta and Falta, thanked both the employees and the customers for their long lasting commitments, and emphasized the importance of the Indian location for the global Almatis organization. "We at Almatis serve and support growing markets worldwide," he said. "With expected annual steel growth rates of over 6% in the upcoming years, India is one of the fastest growing steel markets in the world. We serve these markets and our customers by being close to them -- close in location and close to their business. Almatis ACC Limited, with its Falta and Calcutta locations, is and will be an integral part of our global operations."
