On December 31, 2001, CM Acquisitions LLC, a Chicago based private equity firm, completed the purchase of American Roller Co. of Bannockburn, Ill. The company announced that it will continue to operate under the name of American Roller Co. and will soon relocate its corporate headquarters to Union Grove, Wis., the site of its administrative offices, R&D center and three of its six manufacturing facilities. The company will be led by newly appointed CEO Chuck Tasch, a principal in the acquiring firm. Tasch is joined by a new executive management team possessing deep knowledge of the roller business, comprising talent from within the company and newly recruited from the industry. The team includes Tom Kiekow, VP of sales and marketing; Joe Plank, chief operating officer; Larry Vogus, VP of finance; and Don McIntosh, VP of engineering.
