AMETEK Inc. recently announced the formation of its new Materials Analysis Division, which brings together the recently acquired SPECTRO Analytical Instruments Division and EDAX, formerly a business unit of AMETEK's Process & Analytical Instruments Division. AMETEK has named Alan Devenish, formerly the business unit manager of EDAX, vice president and general manager of the new division. In addition, Manfred Bergsch, previously responsible for SPECTRO's worldwide sales and service, has been named division vice president and SPECTRO business unit manager.
