Aremcolox^TM 502-1400 from Aremco Products, Inc. is a high density, full-fired, 96% pure alumina ceramic that provides excellent abrasion and corrosion resistance as well as high mechanical strength and electrical resistance. Specifications include a compressive strength of 340,000 psi, dielectric strength of 225 volts per mil, and resistance to continuous operating temperatures of 3000F (1650C). Aremcolox 502-1400 experiences no weight loss when exposed to high concentrations of sulphuric acid for extended periods of time and demonstrates an extremely low index of volume loss upon impingement and erosion tests.
