Aremco Products, Inc.'s Crystalbond(TM) 590 is an advanced thermoplastic adhesive that provides exceptional thermal and mechanical stability, which are important requirements for machining operations that produce severe heat, vibration and peel stresses. Application of Crystalbond 590 is accomplished by preheating a mounting plate to 300F, melting and spreading the adhesive in a uniform layer. The part is then positioned, and the entire assembly is allowed to cool. After machining, the adhesive is dissolved in methanol or in Aremco's proprietary 590-S stripper.
