MoreArmorWorks has received a $5.5 million contract to deliver 164 Light Weight Armor Replacement System (LWARS) kits for the U.S. Marine Corps's CH-46E helicopter. Work will be performed in Tempe, Ariz., for the Naval Air Systems Command based in Patuxent River, Md., with scheduled completion in December 2005. "We continue to partner with the U.S. military to field the latest armoring technologies for the Marines, and this contract strengthens our relationship," said Bill Perciballi, ArmorWorks president and founder.
