- THE MAGAZINE
Members of the military community need an artistic outlet just like everyone else. The CFB Kingston Pottery Club in Kingston (Ontario, Canada) is a popular spot for budding ceramic artists on base. More than 50 members take advantage of the studio's professional pottery wheels, kilns and equipment. Everyone mixes their own non-toxic, eco-friendly glazes, and senior members teach the rookies in a pay-it-forward system. Although the military pays for the space and the electricity, the club finances its own supplies and materials through art sales.
