At this year's Royal Ascot Race Meeting, the Queen presented to the winner of the 2002 King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes a jewelry prize designed using Delcam's ArtCAM Pro. The 18ct gold and platinum piece emulating an Ascot badge included a brilliant cut diamond together with six princess cut diamond nails. The piece, which was commissioned by De Beers, was designed by Jess Canty of Jess James London and created by David Stokes of Delcam plc using the ArtCAM Pro modeling software. By using ArtCAM Pro, Canty and Stokes were able to complete the entire design in a day and have a prototype model CNC machined in a few hours.
