AVX Corp. has received ISO/TS16949 and ISO 9001:2000 certification for its manufacturing facilities in San Bartolo, El Salvador and Lanskroun, Czech Republic. The certifications indicate that these facilities have met all requirements of the ISO/TS16949 and ISO9001 international standards for the design, development, production, installation and servicing of automotive related products. AVX underwent thorough inspection of their automotive manufacturing facilities and supply chain to ensure eligibility criteria were met. The certifications mean a reduction in multiple third party registrations, freeing up time and supplier resources for other quality activities and improvement opportunities that can enhance business by supplying one common certification language for the industry.
