AVX Corp. has received the Corporate Technical Achievement Award from the American Ceramic Society (ACerS). The award was formally presented to AVX at the 2002 Annual Meeting held in St. Louis. "AVX has been a technology leader in the industry for many years," said Craig Hunter, strategic marketing manager for AVX. "Our corporate direction, along with our team of innovators, has enabled us to be at the forefront of developments such as multiple capacitor arrays and the integration of multiple functions like resistors, capacitors and inductors in single electronic devices, well ahead of the market. These devices saved designers space in their new products and are now widely used in computers and cellular telephones."
