Barbieri & Tarozzi Enjoys Success In Southeast Asia

Thailand and Indonesia have proved themselves to be strategic markets for the Barbieri & Tarozzi Group. In the past few months, the Italian company has reached important agreements for the realization of production plants with leading tile producers in the area. The third and final phase of expansion of the UMI Group plant in Thailand, planned and managed by Barbieri & Tarozzi, is expected before the end of 2005. When running at full capacity, this plant will produce 36,000 square meters/day of ceramic tiles, divided among both basic sizes (30 x 30 cm and 40 x 40 cm) and products of larger dimensions. At Sosuco of Saraburi, a complete turnkey plant with a production capacity of 16,000 square meters/day of single-fired floor tiles is presently under start-up phase. The Barbieri & Tarozzi equipment featured in the new plant includes five VIS2000 presses; a horizontal dryer; two kilns; a storage line for the green product in boxes, complete with the latest generation laser-driven vehicles; two storage lines for the fired product on the ground; two Smart Line sorting lines; and two palletizers.
