Barnstead/Thermolyne Announces New Corporate Identity

Barnstead/Thermolyne, a wholly owned subsidiary of Apogent, recently announced the launch of a new corporate identity and logo. Barnstead/Thermolyne, the headquarter company of Apogent's Laboratory Equipment Group, will now do business as Barnstead International. Other companies within the group include Lab-Line Instruments, Electrothermal Engineering and Ever Ready Thermometer Co. The Barnstead name will be used with all company names and brands manufactured by the individual businesses. "Our thorough market research study led us to the conclusion that we should link our many strong brands to the Barnstead name," said Duncan Ross, group president and president of Barnstead. "This name change reflects our need to better manage and position the brands we have acquired and developed over the past several years. The depth and breadth of our portfolios will no longer be the best kept secret in the laboratory industry."
