Dr. Suhas Bhandarkar, who has spent more than a decade as a photonics researcher, recently joined the faculty of the School of Ceramic Engineering and Materials Science at Alfred University as an associate professor of materials science. He will be part of Alfred's Advanced Research Center in photonics, to be funded by a $3.8 million grant from the New York State Office of Science, Technology and Academic Research (NYSTAR).
