Baikowski International Corp. (BIC) recently announced that it has acquired the assets of Malakoff Industries, Inc., a subsidiary of Alcoa Inc. Terms were not disclosed. Malakoff Industries will be renamed Baikowski Malakoff Inc. (BMI) and will continue its manufacturing operations in Malakoff, Texas, as a wholly owned subsidiary of BIC. The R&D facility in Bauxite, Ark., has been closed, and production from that site is being transferred to the Texas facility. Tom Carbone, BIC vice president, will become president of BMI.
