The Brick Industry Association's (BIA) "2003 Sales and Marketing Report," a compilation of information from a 2003 survey of manufacturers and distributors, includes detailed information on the types and sizes of brick produced, where it is sold and how it is used. This annual study, the BIA's eighteenth consecutive report on the brick manufacturing industry, also includes a regional breakout of production, shipments and capacity. The report gives detailed characteristics of annual brick shipments, and thus not only provides the association and individual brick manufacturing companies with a valuable marketing and planning aid, but also offers important data to companies considering expansion, or to those considering investment in the brick industry. A number of trend reports are also included, allowing members to note historical changes in destination, end usage, types and sizes of brick, and the sales method used.
