Brush Engineered Materials Inc. reported sales for 2000 of $563.7 million, the highest annual sales in the company's history, and a 24% increase over 1999 annual sales of $455.7 million. Sales for the fourth quarter were a record $147.2 million, a 23% increase over sales of $120.1 million for the fourth quarter of 1999. Fourth quarter sales represents the fifth consecutive record quarterly sales level. The record sales growth continues to be fueled by strong global demand from telecommunications, computers, optical media and automotive electronics.
