Vac-U-Max has developed a new device that reportedly improves the overall material flow of bulk bags. In many industrial environments, bulk bags are stored for long periods. During that time, environmental elements cause the material within the bulk bags to compact and become very hard. When this happens, it becomes difficult for the material to flow freely once placed in a bulk bag unloader. The new bulk bag pre-conditioner uses multiple heavy-duty air cylinders to compress all four sides of the bulk bag at timed intervals. The sequenced compression action loosens the material, allowing it to become free flowing. The patent pending bulk bag pre- conditioner is designed to save time and increase plant productivity. Each unit is floor-mounted and can accommodate one bulk bag at a time.
