CARBO Ceramics Inc. has announced net income of $4.2 million, or $0.28 per diluted share, on revenues of $24.0 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2000. This compares with net income of $1.4 million, or $0.10 per diluted share, on revenues of $17.4 million for the fourth quarter of 1999. For the year ended December 31, 2000, the company reported net income of $14.8 million, or $1.00 per diluted share, on record revenues of $93.3 million. This compares with 1999 net income of $10.5 million, or $0.71 per diluted share, on revenues of $69.7 million. "We are operating in a very strong market, driven primarily by the continued demand for natural gas, and we are in an excellent position to satisfy what we expect to be a growing market for our products," said Jesse P.
