The new Axioskop 2 MAT microscope from Carl Zeiss MicroImaging, Inc. meets the special demands made on materials microscopy research, quality assurance and failure analysis. The unit is accurate, fast and provides reproducible results. The Axioskop 2 MAT features an improved reflected-light beam path, and high-performance optics ensure ideal micrographs. In the motorized version, the reflector turret, z-drive, brightness control and switching mirror are automated, and the nosepiece is coded. The trinocular Ergo TV-Tube, with an ideal viewing angle of 20 degrees, permits the viewing height to be varied by 50 mm.
