The Clay for the Cure fundraiser, held recently at the Contemporary Ceramic Studios Association's (CCSA) convention in Philadelphia, Pa., raised $15,000 to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. "Breast cancer awareness was chosen, as our industry is comprised primarily of women business owners and customers," said Angie Verburg, executive director of the CCSA. Over 89 items were submitted for the silent auction during the member reception, and five items were honored for a live auction.
