Ceradyne Opens Office In Washington, D.C.

Ceradyne, Inc. recently announced the opening of a new office in the Washington, D.C., area to support its lightweight ceramic armor business, with a strong focus on military ground-based vehicles. Marc King, longtime military officer and senior executive in military and defense-related equipment matters, will head Ceradyne's efforts in this new office as vice president of armor operations. For the past 15 years since leaving the military service, King has held management and marketing positions in industry, primarily related to military ground-based vehicle armor and components.

"We believe this new presence in Washington will allow us to better communicate with and serve our military customers," said Joel Moskowitz, chief executive officer. "Ceradyne is particularly enthused having a senior executive such as Marc in this key position. Marc spent 23 years in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam and Europe, completed his military service as a lieutenant colonel, and has held numerous military positions in management analysis and as a Congressional liaison. We believe this new Washington location and Marc's leadership will enable Ceradyne to increase its presence in military lightweight armor systems, particularly related to ground-based vehicles."

The new office can be reached at 2121 Eisenhower Ave., Suite 600, Alexandria, VA 22314; (703) 518-0618; fax (703) 299-9213. For additional information, e-mail mking@ceradyne.com or visit http://www.ceradyne.com
