MoreCeradyne, Inc. has received a new release of approximately $4.0 million under the large indefinite quantity military armor contract originally awarded in early 1998. This recent $4.0 million release is in addition to the $7.5 million announced in September 1999 and is scheduled to be shipped beginning in August 2000 and completed in December 2000.
“This recent release of body armor is further confirmation of the government’s commitment to a light-tight fighting force with maximum lightweight ballistic protection,” said David Puckett, Ceradyne’s armor program director.
