Ceralink Expands Microwave Technology Center (posted 9/24/09)

The facility now comprises a high-temperature microwave testing lab, a chemical lab and a radio frequency (RF) lamination lab.

Ceralink Inc. recently announced the expansion of its advanced Microwave Technology Center. The expansion, which includes a new 1300-square-foot laboratory, new R&D equipment and new engineering personnel, will allow Ceralink to meet the growing demand for energy-efficient solutions to today’s materials challenges.

“Development of new processes that create value for our customers is at the core of Ceralink’s mission,” said Patricia Strickland, CEO. “This expansion will increase our research and development capabilities and allow us to offer manufacturers a competitive edge in glass lamination.”

Ceralink’s expanded Microwave Technology Center now comprises a high-temperature microwave testing lab, a chemical lab and a radio frequency (RF) lamination lab. The RF lamination lab will be equipped with an RF press for in-house trials; pilot-scale demonstrations; and the continued development of the company’s proprietary FastFuse™ RF lamination technology, a new ultra-fast, energy-saving process for the lamination of glass and composites using an RF press.
