MoreCeramica Azzurra recently announced it has ordered a robotic glazing line from Gaiotto Automation, a Sacmi Group company that specializes in the design and provision of automated solutions for ceramics and whiteware.
This order, currently being installed at the Azzurra plant, is for a new robotic glazing line for the production of both fine fire clay and vitreous china pieces. The key elements of the line include the piece bed conveyor with 35 supports and the Visus Centering piece positioning system that works in conjunction with the three glazing booths where three in-line robots also operate. Able to handle 600 pieces per shift, the new line will reportedly allow Azzurra to boost the efficiency of its production process.
