CILAS U.S., Inc. recently released new literature describing the features and benefits of its new model 1180 laser diffraction particle size analyzer. This compact, robust instrument is designed for measurements from 0.04-2500 microns in liquid dispersion and from 0.3-2500 microns in dry dispersion. Dry dispersion uses both free-fall and venturi dispersion techniques. Data for the entire analytical range can be obtained in as little as one minute, with no need for lens changes or optical bench realignments.
