MoreCookson Group has reported 2010 revenue of £2,546 million (~ $4,137 million), a 30% increase over £1,961 million (~ $3,186 million) in 2009. The Ceramics division’s revenue of £1,495 million (~ $2,429 million) was 32% higher than that reported in 2009 and up 27% on an underlying basis. The global steel production end-market accounts for almost 60% of the division’s revenue.
The Electronics division’s revenue of £721 million (~ $1,171 million) was 36% higher than 2009, as reported. In part, this increase was due to the pass through of higher tin and silver commodity prices in solder product sales and higher gold prices in plating chemicals sales.
