CoorsTek, Inc. has expanded its line of materials for mechanical seals to include carbon graphite through a distribution agreement with St. Marys Carbon Co. of St. Marys, Pa. CoorsTek selected St. Marys Carbon because of its substantial reputation for quality and over 60 years of manufacturing experience. Both partners stand to benefit from the relationship, as CoorsTek is well established in severe-service mechanical seal markets and the St. Marys Carbon line of advanced carbon materials is ideally suited for use in mechanical seals. The addition of carbon graphite completes the CoorsTek line of advanced materials for mechanical seals, which includes alumina ceramic, silicon carbide and tungsten carbide.
