CoorsTek, Inc. recently announced its receipt of the Gold Supplier Award from global automotive components supplier Wabash Technologies. The Gold Supplier Award is the highest achievable Wabash supplier award, and it is contingent upon 100% on-time delivery, zero ppm defect levels, and world-class technical and customer support. Wabash Technologies initiated the award program in 2000 to enhance its quality programs and recognize superior suppliers. Out of 1207 regular suppliers, CoorsTek is one of only two suppliers to receive the Gold Award this year, and the only supplier ever to receive it in consecutive years. "CoorsTek is the Chicago Bulls of Suppliers -- in the Michael Jordan years," said Steve L. Miller, vice president, Global Supply Chain Management for Wabash Technologies. "CoorsTek is a model organization for our other suppliers to emulate." CoorsTek was also chosen as Wabash's sole supplier for ceramic substrates and was awarded with a four-year supply contract.
