Entries are now being accepted for the 16th Annual Spectrum International Ceramic Tile Design Competition, the tile industry's annual acknowledgement of outstanding design and creativity in the use of ceramic tile. Initiated in 1986 by the Ceramic Tile Distributors Association (CTDA), the awards program is now a part of Coverings, the industry's major trade show for the Americas. Submissions must include a typed narrative description of the project detailing the challenges presented by the project, the design innovations that were incorporated into the work, the project's goals and how they were achieved. All projects must be accompanied by professional quality photography in either 8 x 10 in. color print or 35 mm color slide format. The deadline for entries is December 16, 2002, with awards presented at Coverings 2003 in Orlando, Fla., March 24-27, 2003.
