The Technical Management board of directors for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has appointed Robert E. Daniels as the chairman of the ISO/TC 189 Ceramic Tile Committee. Daniels, the executive director of the Tile Council of America, Inc., brings years of experience in working on ceramic tile and installation standards to the international platform. The TCA is the secretariat for the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) tile standards. Daniels is a member of key industry committees such as the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) C21.06 committee (ceramic tile test methods), the Industrial Functional Advisory Committee II (a government advisory committee), and the Industrial Advisory Committee for Ceramic and Materials Engineering at Clemson University.
