Desberg Names Sales and Marketing Director for Spheric (posted 9/8/08)

Spheric Technologies, Inc., marketer of the patented Spheric/Syno-Therm™ high-temperature microwave powdered metal and ceramic processing systems, recently announced the hiring of Robert Desberg as director of Sales and Marketing. “Interest in our microwave furnace systems has been strong throughout the U.S., Canada and Latin America,” said Joseph Hines, chairman. “An experienced industry professional, Bob Desberg insures that we will effectively respond to our customers’ needs and significantly expand our sales and marketing program.”

Desberg is an accomplished executive with experience in engineered powder, metallurgical and wrought materials for products in the aerospace, defense, electronics and medical industries. He spent the last decade with H.C. Starck, Inc., serving in product management, business development and sales capacities for the company.

Desberg holds a bachelor’s of science degree in metallurgy and materials science from Case Western Reserve University, and he has done post-graduate work in business management, corporate finance, marketing, project management and contract law.

“Bob has tremendous depth in our field, including technical knowledge, real-world industrial experience and extensive personal contacts,” said Michael Kirksey, Spheric Technologies’ executive vice president and chief operating officer. “Bob will play an important role in building awareness of the benefits of Spheric/Syno-Therm systems, and generating sales for us across a wide range of industries.”
