Detroit Process Machinery Launched (posted 9/12/08)

The new company aims to provide the worldwide ceramic, refractory and other industries with a source for used processing machinery.

Machinery buyer and reseller Tom Suhy recently announced that he has launched Detroit Process Machinery, Inc., a new company that aims to provide the worldwide ceramic, refractory, powdered metal, carbide, ferrite, carbon, and powder industries with a source for quality used processing machinery and equipment. Equipment bought and sold by the new company will include powder compacting presses, isostatic presses, powder mixers, powder blenders, pulverizers, dryers, process mills and powder screening equipment.

“With 18 years of service to the ceramic, refractory, powdered metal, nanomaterials and particulate matter industry, we are excited to bring our own brand of specialized services to the market,” said Suhy. “Detroit Process Machinery looks forward to assisting companies with their surplus equipment requirements, whether buying or selling.”

The company will also provide services such as the buying and selling of surplus powder process equipment, on-site liquidation programs for surplus process machinery, exclusive commissioned sales programs, and customized investment recovery programs for large or small companies.

The company will operate from an office in suburban Detroit, while a large-scale industrial warehouse in Detroit proper will house machinery for sale and provide reconditioning services.
