The strategy lays out a framework of interagency actions aimed at doubling U.S. renewable energy and energy efficiency exports by 2015.
The National Export Initiative (NEI) seeks to strengthen U.S. competitiveness in international markets in order to stimulate domestic job creation and economic growth. Federal agencies have been asked to advance the core NEI policy objective by increasing trade mission activity, expanding credit for clean energy exports, reducing trade barriers, and enacting policies that encourage manufacturing.
