EDAX Forms Alliance with XRT Limited

EDAX Inc. has finalized an agreement with XRT Limited of Melbourne, Australia, to globally market, sell and distribute XRT's X-ray ultra microscope (XuM). The XuM provides nondestructive, sub-micron X-ray imaging of optically opaque objects, including embedded defects in modern VLSI semiconductor devices, plastics, metals, composites and biological materials. "The XuM strengthens our product range by further enhancing our ability to offer unique and innovative products to solve our customers' emerging problems," said Alan Devenish, president of EDAX, a unit of AMETEK Process & Analytical Instruments Division.
