Engelhard Corp. has announced a 6% general price increase on fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) catalysts and additives, effective March 1, 2004, or as contracts allow. The adjustment reflects increases in energy and related costs, as well as continued investment in research and development programs. "Engelhard has a long and distinguished record of commercializing value-added technologies that can help improve refiners' productivity and profitability," said Bruce Lerner, market director. "We remain committed to investing in development of new technology platforms that deliver performance and productivity. An excellent example is Engelhard's DMS platform, which currently is delivering significant value to customers at more than 75 locations around the world."
