Through a New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA)-funded initiative, “Fabrication of Tri-Layer Cells Based on ≤ 50 micron Zirconia Tape for the Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Market,” ENrG will complete the infrastructure to begin fabricating thin fuel cell devices. ENrG has several years of experience in handling and printing on thin electrolytes, and this initiative is an extension of ENrG’s experience in this area.
In addition, NYSERDA has awarded ENrG a contract to support market entry to reach fuel cell companies in Europe, Canada, Japan and the U.S. in an effort to expand the marketplace for this technology. The updating of ENrG’s website, combined with new literature, sample presentations and a presence at major energy shows, will advance the company’s products to end-users.
“We are pleased to extend our partnership with ENrG as we work toward the goal of commercializing fuel cell components for the fuel cell industry,” said Francis J. Murray, president and chief executive officer of NYSERDA. “A future with alternative, clean energy solutions is a priority for NYSERDA, and our agreement with ENrG Inc. will continue New York State’s commitment to reduce air pollution and advance environmentally safe, fuel-efficient technologies.”
