Engineered Pressure Systems, Inc. (EPSI) recently completed a large order for a warm isostatic press (WIP) production unit for Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, N.M. The ASME Div III coded vessel was designed and stamped according to Los Alamos National Laboratory's technical specifications to have a 30-in. inside diameter, a 25-in. inside length, a design pressure of 33,000 psi and a temperature rating of ambient to 200F. Other features include remote control operator station with indicators, threadless closures held in place with a restraining yoke, and programmable pressure decompression rates. To ensure the proposed system would perform to the required specifications prior to shipment, the entire system was assembled at EPSI's facility and performance tests were successfully conducted.
