Engineered Pressure Systems, Inc. (EPSI) will highlight its cold isostatic press (CIP) production unit in booth 511 at the American Ceramic Society's (ACerS) 2003 Annual Meeting, April 27-30, at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tenn. Designed for high productivity and low maintenance, EPSI's CIP is ideal for the ceramic, carbon, plastics and powder metals industries and can be customized to suit application-specific needs. The CIP is capable of operating at pressures up to 100,000 psi (approximately 700 MPa) with control of pressurization and decompression, which results in products of uniform density, reducing internal stresses, cracks, strains and laminations.
