MoreEriez recently completed a 30,000-square-foot expansion of its plant in Erie, Pa., which serves as the company’s world headquarters. The additional high-ceiling space gives the company the ability to manufacture large magnets and systems in house, which is expected to translate into improved delivery and service for customers in the heavy equipment industries.
According to Dan Norrgran, Eriez’ Heavy Industries market manager, customers in the mining, recycling, foundries, aggregates, utilities and abrasives industries typically utilize Eriez’ largest magnets and systems. The Erie plant, which opened in 1963, houses the company’s sales, marketing, engineering, research and manufacturing operations, as well as corporate offices. The plant was 100,000 square feet before the expansion.
