The E-Z Tec(R) VFS metal detector from Eriez Magnetics detects ferrous, nonferrous and stainless steel contaminants present in form, fill and seal operations. The VFS model is well suited for packaging system applications where vertical heights are often restricted. The units can be supplied with either analog controls or microprocessor electronics with digital screen readouts, self-check and calibration verification. Standard sizes are for a 4-, 6- and 8-in. pipe. Additional features include quick field switchable power adjustments and user-selectable manual or automatic reject reset capabilities.
