A new brochure from Eriez Magnetics details how its rugged, lightweight Megatec(TM) 1220 metal detector protects downstream equipment from damaging tramp metal without producing "nuisance trips" in coal, coke, aggregate and other processing facilities. The detector fits most standard 24-48 in. (609-1219 mm) CEMA conveyors with speeds from 60 to 1000 fpm. The adjustable aperture height of 22 in. (559 mm) accommodates burden depths of up to 18 in. (457 mm). The two-page brochure covers applications, mechanical design, specifications and numerous accessories available to enhance the unit's field performance.
